Dr Christos Profyris completed his pre-clinical medical studies at the University of Cambridge with a Double First Class and went on to finish his medical degree with Distinction at the University of Oxford.
He completed his Neurosurgical training at the University of Witwatersrand and achieved his Neurosurgery Fellowship qualification from the The Colleges of Medicine of South Africa. He also holds a Master of Medicine in Neurosurgery from the University of the Witwatersrand.
During the completion of the esteemed Aesculap Charles Teo Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery Fellowship at The Centre for Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery in Sydney, Australia, Dr. Profyris had the opportunity to pursue advanced training in brain mapping techniques and TMS applications.
This additional expertise was acquired under the guidance of Professor Mike Sughrue, a globally renowned expert in brain mapping. Notably, Professor Sughrue has an extensive publication record of over 250 peer-reviewed publications and is the founder of Omniscient Neurotechnology.
Being a super-specialist in brain tumour and vascular neurosurgery Dr Profyris has published over 20 peer-reviewed publications.
He has an active research interest in the application of connectome based TMS treatment.
