Dr Chris Profyris

BBiomed Sci Hon (Mon), MA(Cantab), BM BCh(Oxon), MRCS (Eng), FC Neurosurg (SA), MMed Neurosurg (Wits), CMIN C Teo Fellowship (Sydney).

Dr Christos Profyris completed his pre-clinical medical studies at the University of Cambridge with a Double First Class and went on to finish his medical degree with Distinction at the University of Oxford.

He completed his Neurosurgical training at the University of the Witwatersrand and achieved his Neurosurgery Fellowship qualification from the College of Medicine of South Africa. He also holds a Master of Medicine in Neurosurgery from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Dr Profyris completed the prestigious Aesculap Charles Teo Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery Fellowship under Professor Charles Teo at the Centre for Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery in Sydney Australia. During this time, he also undertook advanced training in brain mapping techniques and TMS applications, under Professor Mike Sughrue. Professor Sughrue is a world expert in brain mapping, he has published over 250 peer-reviewed publications and is founder of Omniscient Neurotechnology.

Dr Profyris is a super-specialist in brain tumour and vascular neurosurgery and has published over 20 peer-reviewed publications.
